To read the Bible in a year, read Romans 11.1–21 on August 11, In the year of our Lord 2016

As Jesus once said, “Salvation is of the Jews” (John 4.22), meaning that the Lord used the Jews to bring salvation to the world. Therefore, they have a special place in the Lord’s heart. Yet, the majority have not accepted Jesus of Nazareth as the Christ of the prophets. Since they have rejected Him, the Lord has turned His messengers toward the Gentiles,
I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles. Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness! (Romans 11.11–12).
If then the Jews decide to accept Jesus as the Christ, that will also be very good for the rest of the world.
Questions:
- Do you know any Jews?
- If you do, and they do not believe, why do they not believe?
