All people get natural life through Adam, but Christians have acquired spiritual life through Christ, so that He is a kind of Adam,

And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit (1 Corinthians 15.45). 

You have life because you have descended from Adam, but you shall die. If you want eternal life, life in the spirit, you must descend through Christ, by being buried with Him in baptism, then raised with Him to walk in newness of life!
