09.13.2016 – Old Testament: Pro 23.13–14
To read the Bible in a year, read Proverbs 23–24 on September 13, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
Children need correction. That does not mean they are evil, nor does your correction mean that you hate your child, but it means that they are not adults yet, and you the adult, provide the course correction they need on their journey of life,
Do not withhold correction from a child,
For if you beat him with a rod, he will not die.
You shall beat him with a rod,
And deliver his soul from hell.
(Proverbs 23.13–14)
Children do not enjoy correction, even as adults do not like correction, but with all the protesting, it still does good things for us.
