09.19.2016 – Old Testament: Ecc 7.15
To read the Bible in a year, read Ecclesiastes 7–9 on September 19, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
Things do not always happen with the righteous and the wicked as we think they should happen, as Solomon observed during his life of vanity,
I have seen everything in my days of vanity:
There is a just man who perishes in his righteousness,
And there is a wicked man who prolongs life in his wickedness.
(Ecclesiastes 7.15)
We see just people who die before their time, and sometimes because of their righteousness, and we see wicked people who make their lives longer by living wickedly.
However, we can find comfort in this: The full reckoning of our lives does not happen on Earth.
