Many are the people who believe that there is nothing that we can do for our salvation, and many are the people who fully expect to enter into heaven, although they never named the name of Christ. However, listen to what the writer of the Book of Hebrews said about some Israelites, God’s own people, that the Lord delivered from Egypt,
And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? (Hebrews 3.18).
Those were God’s own people whom He delivered from Egyptian bondage, but when they entered the wilderness and refused to obey Him, they paid the price at His hand. If He so conducted Himself with them, what about us? Is that not why it is in the New Testament? The Lord God also expects us to do as He says, if we claim to follow Him.
Questions:
- Are you a follower of Jesus Christ?
- Does it show by how you live?
