Before time began, the God of heaven had already determined that He would send Jesus to the Earth and the reasons why He would send Jesus,
He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God (1 Peter 1.20–21).
Since God had His plans set before He created the world, He knew when He would send Jesus, and it would be the perfect time to create belief in God, causing our faith and hope to be in God. We see Him controlling the world, setting everything perfectly for the arrival of Jesus, and that causes us to believe in Him as our God.
Questions:
- Does your faith and hope rest in God?
- If not, what do your faith and hope rest in, and why?
