01.19.2017 – New Testament: Matt 14.19
To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 14.1–21 on January 19, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
Jesus wanted to feed a multitude. Someone offered a little bread and fish. Then Jesus made more bread and fish from those submitted to Him. See how He distributed the food,
Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes (Matthew 14.19).
He did the same thing spiritually, giving the disciples His word, and then in turn they passed it on to us. If they gave you bread that came from Jesus, would you eat it? Of course, you would. If they gave you bread for your soul from Jesus, would you ingest it?
Questions:
- Do you read the word and then think on what you have read?
- Do you believe all of the Bible came from God?
