01.23.2017 – Old Testament: Exo 4.27
To read the Bible in a year, read Exodus 4–6 on January 23, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
The Lord told Moses to go to Egypt, and he found plenty of excuses why he should not go. Contrast that with his older brother Aaron when the Lord told him to go to Moses,
And the LORD said to Aaron, “Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.” So he went and met him on the mountain of God, and kissed him (Exodus 4.27).
Why do we resist doing immediately what God said to do? Why do we delay and experience the consequences of that delay? Life becomes easier when we just do right now what He said to do.
Questions:
- Do you delay to do what the Lord said to do?
- If so, why?
- What do you hope to accomplish by delay?
