01.26.2017 – New Testament: Matt 18.35
To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 18.21–35 on January 26, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
Jesus spoke a parable of a king’s servant who did not forgive his fellow-servant, although the first servant had a greater offense against the king who had forgiven him. Because the first servant did not forgive his fellow-servant, the king threw the first servant into prison. Then Jesus said,
“So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses” (Matthew 18.35).
Friends, that makes forgiving our brother sincerely from our hearts a top priority for each of us.
Questions:
- Are you ready to forgive?
- What keeps you from forgiving?
