02.23.2017 – New Testament: Mark 5.20
To read the Bible in a year, read Mark 5.1–20 on February 23, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
Jesus cast a multitude of demons out of one man, and the man so appreciated what Jesus had done, that the man wanted to stay with Jesus, even begging Him that he might stay with Jesus. However, Jesus had another plan for the man, telling him to go home to his friends, and tell everyone what the Lord had done to him. Mark then commented,
And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marveled (Mark 5.20).
The man’s life had been miserable, but suddenly he had freedom from the horrible demons and he wanted everyone to know what Jesus had done.
Would you not be the same way?
Questions:
- What has the Lord done for you?
- Have you thanked Him for it?
- Have you told anyone else about it?
