02.24.2017 – Old Testament: Numbers 11.24–25
To read the Bible in a year, read Numbers 11–13 on February 24, In the year of our Lord 2017

Moses felt the huge burden of leading over 600,000 men, plus their families, and the tribe of Levi through the wilderness. Can you imagine the burden he must have carried? Anyway the Lord had a way that He would help Moses. The Lord told Moses to gather 70 elders,
So Moses went out and told the people the words of the LORD, and he gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people and placed them around the tabernacle. Then the LORD came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and placed the same upon the seventy elders; and it happened, when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied, although they never did so again (Numbers 11.24–25).
It took that many men to help Moses? Amazing. Also, another time his father-in-law saw Moses overworking and offered a plan for Moses to reduce his work load.
Moses served God and Israel, and the Lord enabled him to do it, but Moses also expressed to God what the burdens were, and the Lord heard and helped.
Questions:
- Have you carried your burdens to the Lord?
- What are your burdens?
