You had a problem that you could not solve. Therefore, you went to knowledgeable and wise people in the church, but they could not help you either. Did you do what a man did in the following?
Then one of the crowd answered and said, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit. And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not” (Mark 9.17–18).
The father of this child had a problem he could not solve. He thought the disciples of Jesus could help him, but as you saw, they could not. What did the man do? He turned to the Lord.
Questions:
- Do you turn to the Lord for the issues of life that confront you?
- Do you direct people to the Lord for handling the issues of life that they face?
