03.08.2017 – Old Testament: Deu 5.31
To read the Bible in a year, read Deuteronomy 5–7 on March 8, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
The people of Israel said that they would obey whatever the Lord said to do, and He wished that they would have that heart all of the time. Then He told Moses to tell Israel to return to their tents, and the Lord spoke to Moses further,
“But as for you, stand here by Me, and I will speak to you all the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments which you shall teach them, that they may observe them in the land which I am giving them to possess” (Deuteronomy 5.31).
The life of Moses was not about himself, but the Lord used him to instruct Israel in the way that they should live.
We should see our lives in the same way, that we do not live for ourselves, but for the Lord that He may use us as He desires.
Questions:
- How is the Lord using you for the benefit of others?
- How has the Lord used someone to benefit you?
