What we long for in the soul, the Lord’s mercy fulfills. Listen to the psalmist pray for something that we need desperately,

Return, O LORD!
How long?
And have compassion on Your servants.
Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy,
That we may rejoice and be glad all our days!
(Psalm 90.13–14) 

Ask God for compassion. Ask Him to satisfy your soul with mercy. Knowing that He has given shown you compassion and mercy, watch your soul rejoice and be glad.
