08.15.2017 – Old Testament: Psa 104.1–2
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 103–104 on August 15, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
Picture in your mind the glory of God and then speak of it to Him in prayer, as the psalmist did,
Bless the LORD, O my soul!
O LORD my God, You are very great:
You are clothed with honor and majesty,
Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment,
Who stretch out the heavens like a curtain.
(Psalm 104.1–2)
He is great! How do we see His greatness? He wears honor and majesty, and wears light as a garment. How did the heavens get here? He stretched them out. Bless Him for the beauty that you see in the sky.
Questions:
- What fascinates you about the night sky?
- If God did not bring the heavens into existence, how did they get here?
