08.24.2017 – Old Testament: Psa 121.3–4
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 120–123 on August 24, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
How long can you go before you have to stop all activity and sleep? Some people cannot go to sleep…ever. Ask them whether they like that or not. You will probably find out just how miserable they have been. Sometimes we cannot even wait until bedtime, but we need to nap. However, our God never sleeps, He does not even nap,
He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
(Psalm 121.3–4)
Truly, I can pray to Him from Grants Pass, Oregon on the West Coast of America while someone simultaneously prays to Him from Port-aux-Français (which is the closest piece of land on the exact opposite side of the earth from Grants Pass), yet, our God can hear us at the same time and answer us at the same time.
Praise God that He is always there for us, even when we sleep, for He never sleeps.
Questions:
- If you dug a tunnel through the earth from your home, do you where you would come out? (I used this web site: https://www.freemaptools.com/tunnel-to-other-side-of-the-earth.htm)
- Have you had problems with going to sleep?
