08.30.2017 Old Testament: Psa 143.5–6
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 142–144 on August 30, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
Think of what the Lord has done as revealed in the Scriptures. Look at history since then, and see His work in the world. Observe creation and see His mighty works and His beautiful artwork. Perhaps you will then do as the psalmist did,
I remember the days of old;
I meditate on all Your works;
I muse on the work of Your hands.
I spread out my hands to You;
My soul longs for You like a thirsty land.
Selah
(Psalm 143.5–6)
When finally His works overwhelm you, spread out your hands toward Him and tell Him that you long for Him, someone who is so wonderful!
