11.14.2017 – New Testament: Heb 10.39
To read the Bible in a year, read Hebrews 10.24–39 on November 14, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
What direction are you going as a Christian? Are you falling back to your old ways, or are you moving away from those things and toward the saving of your soul? The writer of the Book of Hebrews expressed his view that his first readers were headed in the right direction,
But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul (Hebrews 10.39).
Everything about our lives should lead us to the saving of our souls. Otherwise, what is the point of our lives? Yet, you know how your old ways keep coming back to haunt and to tempt you, that you might live that way again, but resist it, for your life then had you hell-bound, and you want to be heaven-bound.
Questions:
- What direction are you going as a Christian?
- Can you enlist the help of your friends to get away from your old sins?
