How are we going to eat? How are we going to clothe ourselves? We all have these basic concerns, but Jesus said,

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?” (Matthew 6.25).

Jesus told His disciples that they cannot serve God and mammon (money). Since we have decided to serve God, we do not have to worry about our food and clothing, for doing so would be serving mammon. He will take care of us as long as we take care of His things.

Questions:

  • Do you believe that if you do not worry it means that you do not care?
  • How much have you accomplished by worrying?
