When Jesus taught, He had people’s attention, for they had never heard a man teach the way that He did,
And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes (Mark 1.22).
Jesus did not have to quote an authority as the scribes had to do or as you and I have to do, for He was the authority, and He is the Author of what He taught and of what the Bible says.
