03.12.2018 – New Testament: Mark 14.18
To read the Bible in a year, read Mark 14.1–25 on March 12, In the year of our Lord 2018
By Don Ruhl
The twelve had been close to Jesus for three and a half years. They undoubtedly thought that they all knew one another well, but during His last Passover meal with the twelve, Jesus announced,
“Assuredly, I say to you, one of you who eats with Me will betray Me” (Mark 14.18).
That shocked all of them. Things had been going relatively well, then for Jesus to make this announcement would have been devastating, but He spoke the truth.
Questions:
- How would you have reacted if you had been one of the twelve?
- If Judas had repented, would Jesus have forgiven Him?
