04.27.2018 – New Testament: Luke 21.18
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 21.1–19 on April 27, In the year of our Lord 2018
By Don Ruhl
As Jesus revealed the signs preceding the destruction of Jerusalem, he added,
“But not a hair of your head shall be lost” (Luke 21.18).
Yet, just two sentences before, He had said, “You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death” (Luke 21.16). Therefore, He used the symbol of the hair on their heads to let them know that although some of them would die, they would not be lost. He knew them intimately and He would save everyone of them, even the smallest part of them.
