God planted within us the desire to live. Therefore, we seek every means to live long, but if we truly want to live forever, only one option exists:

“But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life” (John 5.40).

You must go to Jesus to have life, both true life now and eternal life later. However, as He implied to the Jews in this context, if you do not go to Him, you will not have life, you will not live eternally, although you will exist eternally, but not in heaven.
