07.21.2018 – New Testament: Acts 22.16
To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 22 on July 21, In the year of our Lord 2018

Unfortunately, controversy surrounds baptism. Unfortunate because the Bible speaks plainly on the relationship between baptism and salvation, as Paul revealed to some Jews what a man said to him,
“And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord” (Acts 22.16).
If you had been Paul, what do you think you were supposed to do and for what purpose? Why has this topic become clouded throughout church history?
Questions:
- Have you been baptized into Christ for Him to wash away your sins?
- If you do not believe that baptism has anything to do with washing away sins, what do you believe?
- What is your biblical support for your conclusion?
