07.23.2018 – Old Testament: Psa 38.21–22
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 38–40 on July 23, In the year of our Lord 2018
By Don Ruhl
We know that we depend upon the Lord God, and He knows that we need Him, but we can and should still tell Him so,
Do not forsake me, O LORD;
O my God, be not far from me!
Make haste to help me,
O Lord, my salvation!
(Psalm 38.21–22)
Look at Jesus on the cross as He cried out, asking God, why He had forsaken Him. We cannot experience anything worse than God forsaking us. Perhaps we need to tell that we think that way.
Questions:
- How often do you speak to God of your need for Him?
- When was the last time you told Him that you love Him?
