08.12.2018 – Old Testament: Psa 94.8–11
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 93–95 on August 12, In the year of our Lord 2018
By Don Ruhl
Humans learn slowly. We insist on our own way, although we often fail at it, but we do not give up. Therefore, the Holy Spirit has some questions for us,
Understand, you senseless among the people;
And you fools, when will you be wise?
He who planted the ear, shall He not hear?
He who formed the eye, shall He not see?
He who instructs the nations, shall He not correct,
He who teaches man knowledge?
The LORD knows the thoughts of man,
That they are futile.
(Psalm 94.8–11)
It just seems that we refuse to submit to the way of the Lord, believing that our way is best, or that His way plus our way works best, but still we fall short. When we will learn?
Questions:
- How long did it take before you realized that the Lord was right?
- Concerning your way versus the Lord’s way: Are you a slow learner, slow to recognize the superiority of His way, or a fast learner?
