Some people give their lives working for the church or working to save lost souls. Then there are others who help those workers, of those helpers of the workers Paul said,

I am glad about the coming of Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus, for what was lacking on your part they supplied. For they refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge such men (1 Corinthians 16.17–18).

Not everyone can do what Paul did, but many can do what Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus did. This latter group should be acknowledged as much as the Paul-type of workers, for without the latter, the full-time workers could not do what they do.

Questions:

  • Are you in the Paul Group or the Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus Group?
  • If you are not in either one, where would you place yourself in the church?
