11.12.2018 – Old Testament: Eze 2.7
To read the Bible in a year, read Ezekiel 1–3 on November 12, In the year of our Lord Christ 2018
By Don Ruhl
Ezekiel had a job to do from the Lord whether Israel liked what he said or not. The Lord made it clear what the prophet had to do, saying to him:
“You shall speak My words to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse, for they are rebellious” (Ezekiel 2.7).
Whether they accepted the word or not, it was not for Ezekiel to change the message to accommodate the people. The Lord would interact with them according to whether they listened or not. Ezekiel just had to speak as the Lord spoke.
That is all that we can do, speak as the Bible speaks.
Questions:
- Do you speak as the Bible speaks or do you alter it to make it acceptable to people?
- What do you do when people reject what you say from the Bible?
