03.01.2019 – Old Testament: Num 27.22–23
To read the Bible in a year, read Numbers 25–27 on March 1, In the year of our Lord Christ 2019
By Don Ruhl
Moses knew that he would not take the children of Israel over The Jordan and into the Land of Canaan. Therefore, he prayed for a new leader over Israel who would lead them. God answered his prayer and told him to make Joshua the new leader:
So Moses did as the LORD commanded him. He took Joshua and set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation. And he laid his hands on him and inaugurated him, just as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses (Numbers 27.22–23).
God answered the prayer of Moses and he accepted the answer, setting Joshua before the priest and the congregation. When the Lord answers your prayer, regardless of how He answers it, comply with it.
Questions:
- Are you always satisfied with the Lord’s answer to your prayers?
- Could you see later that His way was the better way?
