The critics of Jesus blasted Him for eating with tax collectors and sinners, but He silenced them with this,

Jesus answered and said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

– Luke 5.31–32 

Do you like going to the doctor? You might go to prevent illnesses, but we typically think of someone needing a physician because of illness.

Likewise, who needs the Savior from God? Sinners need a Savior, not the righteous, but who is not a sinner?

Questions:

• Do you seek righteousness?
