God chose to bring His promised blessing for the world through Jacob and that blessing included land, but it was hundreds of years before Jacob’s descendants received that land. However, Jacob’s twin brother received his right away:

“To Isaac I gave Jacob and Esau. To Esau I gave the mountains of Seir to possess, but Jacob and his children went down to Egypt.”

– Joshua 24.4

Thus, it might have appeared that Esau and his family had it better than Jacob and his family, but the Lord had reasons for delaying the promises to Jacob and when the time was right, He poured out His blessings and the nation of Jacob eventually gave the world a Savior.

Therefore, do not despair if your blessings seemed delayed. Who knows what the Lord has planned for you?
