04.01.2018 – Old Testament: Jdg 6.28
To read the Bible in a year, read Judges 6–7 on April 1, In the year of our Lord 2018
By Don Ruhl
Israel had turned away from Yahweh God and turned to Baal. Therefore, the Lord sent the Midianites against Israel and Israel finally cried out to God. He then prepared Gideon to drive out the Midianites and to destroy them. Part of that preparation included having Gideon go and tear down the altar of Baal,
And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, there was the altar of Baal, torn down; and the wooden image that was beside it was cut down, and the second bull was being offered on the altar which had been built.
– Judges 6.28
