04.05.2019 – New Testament: Luke 10.16
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 10.1–24 on April 5, In the year of our Lord 2019
By Don Ruhl
When people reject what we believe or teach or practice, we have the tendency to take it personally and to question what we did wrong. Assuming that we had the spirit of Christ, we need to know that it is not us that people reject, as our Lord said,
“He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.”
– Luke 10.16
Those who accept what you say, accept what Jesus said, and those who accept what Jesus said, accept what the Father said. That being the case, the opposite is true. He who rejects what you say, rejects Jesus. He who rejects Jesus, rejects the Father.
Questions:
- Have you always accepted what people teach from the Bible?
- If not, and you do now, what changed?
