04.24.2019 – New Testament: Luke 19.32–34
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 19.29–48 on April 24, In the year of our Lord Christ 2019
By Don Ruhl
Jesus sent two of His disciples into a village to fetch a colt, and He even anticipated that someone would question them for taking the colt:
So those who were sent went their way and found it just as He had said to them. But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, “Why are you loosing the colt?” And they said, “The Lord has need of him.”
– Luke 19.32–34
Jesus told them that they would find a colt just as they entered the village and that it would be tied. The disciples found it just as Jesus said, and of course, we are not surprised. Moreover, Jesus must have made prior arrangements with the owners, because once the disciples said that the Lord needed it, they would let the colt go.
Questions:
- Have you followed the teachings and commands of the Lord and found that things were just as He had said?
- For what do you live?
