The world searches for joy constantly, but they cannot find it, because they do not look in the right place for it. Listen to Jesus as He prayed to the Father:

“But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves.”

– John 17.13

The words of Jesus, believed and obeyed by us, bring joy to our souls. His words bring His joy into our lives. So it is not that we find joy in ourselves, but His joy resides within us and so we experience joy on the inside.

• Has the joy of Jesus been fulfilled in you?
• Can you have joy while turmoil surrounds you?
