Old Testament: Psa 101.5
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 99–102 on August 14, In the year of our Lord Christ 2019
By Don Ruhl
Slander happens all the time. However, we each need to hear and to heed what the Scripture says:
Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor,
Him I will destroy;
The one who has a haughty look and a proud heart,
Him I will not endure.– Psalm 101.5
He who slanders does so because he has a haughty look and a proud heart, and the Lord knows it and will do something about it.
Questions:
- Why slander a neighbor at all?
- Has someone ever slandered you?
- What do you gain by slandering someone?
