New Testament: John 2.22
To read the Bible in a year, read John 2 on May 9, In the year of our Lord Christ 2020
By Don Ruhl
After Jesus removed the businessmen from the temple, the Jews challenged Him on His authority to do such things; they wanted Him to do a sign that showed that His authority. He told them to, “Destroy this temple,” and in three days He would raise it up. However, He spoke of His body.
Years later when He rose from the dead, John made this comment:
Therefore, when He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this to them; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said.
– John 2.22
Remembering what He had said roughly three years earlier, had a profound affect upon those men, for they then went out and preached the good news about the resurrection of Jesus and what it means for us, and the world has never been the same.
You likewise remember Scripture and see what it does to you when you make an application of it years later.
