Old Testament: 2Ch 35.2–3a
To read the Bible in a year, read Second Chronicles 34–36 on June 11, In the year of our Lord Christ 2023
By Don Ruhl
King Josiah initiated a great restoration movement in Judah. Part of that included setting things in order for the priests, and having done so, he encouraged them in their duties.
Ezra, the writer of Second Chronicles, also said that the Levites were the teachers of Israel (2 Chronicles 35.2–3a).
There are many parallels between the Levites and Christians. While we have some who give themselves to teaching, all of us in some form are teachers.
See yourself as a teacher when you assemble with the church and when you go out into the world, and it should affect your behavior and lead you to say things that people need to hear.
Questions:
- Are you aware that your behavior, as well as your words, teaches the people around you?
- Have you taught a Bible class?
- Have you taught someone in private?
