How we receive the promise of God

New Testament: Gal 3.18

To read the Bible in a year, read Galatians 3 on September 25, In the year of our Lord Christ 2023

If you want to know what the point of the biblical story is, you have to read the promises of God to Abraham in Genesis 12.3, when the Lord promised Abraham that in him, God would bless all the families of the earth, and that in Abraham, God would bless all the nations of the earth (Genesis 22.18).

The biblical message from Genesis to Revelation shows the development and the fulfillment of that promise to Abraham.

The Law of Moses came to teach man about sin. However, inheriting the promise does not come through the Law, but, as Paul said: “For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise” (Galatians 3.18).

Have the faith of Abraham, that is, have the faith that he had, and you shall inherit his blessing, which is the forgiveness of our sins through Christ.

Questions:

  • What made Abraham’s faith great?
  • Do you have that kind of faith?
