New Testament: 1Th 1.8
To read the Bible in a year, read First Thessalonians 1 on October 13, In the year of our Lord Christ 2023
By Don Ruhl
Other places heard of the conversions of the Thessalonians: “For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything” (1 Thessalonians 1.8).
Let us spread the good news when someone has turned to Christ! Of course, we have to appreciate what has happened when someone has placed his or her faith toward God.
It means they no longer rely on anything else. It means that they have changed course, not only in this world, but in the one to come, so that they are no longer destined for hell, but for heaven.
Knowing that such is true, that should motivate us to want to tell others about someone’s conversion.
Questions:
- When did you start putting your faith toward God?
- Is your faith growing or declining?
