Are you wasting your money?

Old Testament: Isa 55.1–3

To read the Bible in a year, read Isaiah 53–55 on October 14, In the year of our Lord Christ 2023

By Don Ruhl

Many people spend an infinite amount of money to find satisfaction in life, but it is all going to waste.

That is why the Lord says to everyone: “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance. Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you—the sure mercies of David” (Isaiah 55.1–3).

Questions:

  • Are you spending your wages on things that do not satisfy?
  • Have you thought about listening carefully to the Lord?
