Old Testament: Psa 22.9–11

Psalm 22 prophesies of the multi-leveled torment that Jesus would experience during His crucifixion. The psalm also reveals to us what some of His words would be and what He would be thinking, including these words, 

But You are He who took Me out of the womb;
You made Me trust while on My mother’s breasts.
I was cast upon You from birth.
From My mother’s womb
You have been My God.
Be not far from Me,
For trouble is near;
For there is none to help.

– Psalm 22.9–11 

Jesus would speak to the Father of His trust in Him from the time of birth and while He nursed upon His mother’s breasts. Think of what Jesus did. He left heaven and allowed Himself to be implanted in a woman’s womb. He went through the birth process, and made Himself totally vulnerable in His mother’s arms. 

From the time He entered the Earth, He had placed His trust in God. He never once failed in His trust of God. Then on the cross, Jesus would feel abandoned and He would plead for the Father to be close by rather than far away. 

Jesus knows how awful those times can feel, for the Father truly forsook Him as He experienced what we do when we sin and separate ourselves from God. Therefore, always remember Jesus and what He suffered for you.
