Who will hear the word of God?

New Testament: Acts 28.28

To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 28.16–31 on July 30, In the year of our Lord Christ 2024

By Don Ruhl

The Jews as a whole should have heard the word of God more than anyone on the planet, but sadly they rejected it.

It must have broken Paul’s heart when he said to his Jewish brethren: “Therefore let it be known to you that the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will hear it!” (Acts 28.28).

It is still that way today. Not every Gentile hears the word, but the vast majority of people who do hear it are Gentiles.

Questions from today’s reading and devotional:

  • How do you respond to the word of God?
  • Are you willing to change when it contradicts you?
