Do you want to retain God in your knowledge?

New Testament: Rom 1.28

To read the Bible in a year, read Romans 1 on July 31, In the year of our Lord Christ 2024

By Don Ruhl

You read these devotionals because you want to enhance your knowledge of God and to grow as a disciple of Christ.

However, not everyone wants to have that knowledge of God, for as Paul wrote: “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting…” (Romans 1.28).

Having God in their minds, bothers them. In response, he lets them go in their desired ways that they might see not having a knowledge of God destroys one’s life.

Questions from today’s reading and devotional:

  • What are the things that are not fitting?
  • When did you start hungering for a knowledge of God?
