Old Testament: Psa 64.5–9
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 62–64 on July 31, In the year of our Lord Christ 2024
By Don Ruhl
Evil people find ways to encourage themselves in doing evil, believing that no one will see them: “They encourage themselves in an evil matter; they talk of laying snares secretly; they say, ‘Who will see them?’ They devise iniquities: ‘We have perfected a shrewd scheme.’ Both the inward thought and the heart of man are deep” (Psalm 64.5-6).
However, God sees them and takes action against them: “But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly they shall be wounded. So He will make them stumble over their own tongue; all who see them shall flee away. All men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider His doing” (Psalm 64.7–9).
Therefore, do not get discouraged by the growth of evil, for in time, the God of heaven will bring them down.
