Old Testament: Psa 119.33–40
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalm 119.1–48 on August 21, In the year of our Lord Christ 2024
By Don Ruhl
Psalm 119 has 176 verses and almost all of them have something to say about the Sacred Scriptures.
The section from verses 33–40, we can divide into two parts. Verses 33–36 ask the Lord to teach the psalmist, and to give him understanding, to make him walk in the Lord’s commandments, and that the Lord might incline his heart toward the Lord’s testimonies.
The second section from verses 41–48, he asked the Lord for spiritual help so that he might do the right thing.
Ask the Lord to teach you and see what happens.
Questions:
- From what did the psalmist want the Lord to turn away his eyes?
- What have you learned from the Lord?
