We are the fragrance of Christ

New Testament: 2Co 2.15

To read the Bible in a year, read Second Corinthians 2 on September 10, In the year of our Lord Christ 2024

By Don Ruhl

Nothing is more precious to God than his blessed Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, if we go about doing things that tell the world about Jesus, or if we do the works that Jesus did, the Father enjoys what we are doing. Paul said: “For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing” (2 Corinthians 2.15).

Know, therefore, that when you do things in the name of Jesus, it is a sweet aroma to our Father.

Questions:

  • Do you like it when people speak well of your children or grandchildren?
  • If so, can you appreciate why God considers you as fragrance when you do things in the name of Christ?
