Let others boast about you

New Testament: 2Co 5.12

To read the Bible in a year, read Second Corinthians 5 on September 13, In the year of our Lord Christ 2024

By Don Ruhl

Think of the great work that apostles, such as Paul, did. Yet, they did not glorify themselves by boasting of the great things they did. They let others commend them, as Paul told the Corinthians: “For we do not commend ourselves again to you, but give you opportunity to boast on our behalf, that you may have an answer for those who boast in appearance and not in heart” (2 Corinthians 5.12).

Someone said that pride is the only disease that makes others sick, except for the one who has it.

Therefore, we should humble ourselves, and let God and man exalt us.

Questions:

  • Do you think to yourself that if you do not boast about yourself that no one else will?
  • Do you speak of others and the good things that they do?
