In Second Corinthians 6.16, Paul stated what I call the Family Promise of God, which is: “As God has said: ‘I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” 

That being the case, Paul quoted the Lord as stating how we should then live: “Therefore, ‘Come out from among them and be separate,’ says the Lord. ‘Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you’” (2 Corinthians 6.17). 

Do you want him as your God? Do you want to be one of his people? Then simply be separate from the world and do not touch what is unclean.

• Have you thanked God for being your God?
