Balance in Rearing Children

New Testament: Eph 6.4

To read the Bible in a year, read Ephesians 6 on October 4, In the year of our Lord Christ 2024

By Don Ruhl

The Bible teaches us to have balance in the things we do, such as in rearing children: “And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord” (Ephesians 6.4).

We cannot be so hard on our children that we provoke them to wrath, but that does not mean to be so easy on them that we offer them no training and admonishment.

Correct our children, but let us not over correct them.

Train them, but let us understand that they are only children, not Marines. Be kind, but firm. See the balance?
